About Eris
Florence is the city where Eris has built her life. She lives in the Oltrarno neighbourhood, the artisan quarter south of the Arno, and it's there, in its streets, markets and workshops, that she truly lives and loves.
After studying art history at the University of Florence, she completed her state certification with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, specialising in food culture and the history of Florentine craftsmanship. She has been guiding since 2009.
Her Aperitour is widely considered the finest food experience in the city. She knows every vendor at the Mercato Centrale personally, and her selection of aperitivo spots changes with the seasons — she never takes guests to the same places twice.
When she is not guiding, Eris writes about Florentine food culture and teaches cooking classes in her apartment overlooking the Arno.
